The approval means that the drug will be available in pharmacies in Britain from the date of its launch in August, the agency said in a statement.
The drug’s label covers the treatment of the condition with a dose of up to 50 mg taken by the patient in doses up to a maximum of 100 mg taken on at least twice a day.
